Public Super Sections

NJSIAA seeds the state tournament within 10 "Super Sections" — Groups I–V, each split into North and South. The top 16 teams in each Super Section's UPR ranking qualify for the playoffs.

This site independently calculates NJSIAA's official football United Power Rank (UPR) formula — Power Points (40%) and Opponents' Strength Index (60%) — from publicly reported game results, since the official numbers are published behind a paywall. It is not the official source and may differ from NJSIAA's actual published numbers.
